Keith Pagan
Managing Director

Originally trained as a Building and Quantity Surveyor and then after qualifying as a Chartered Surveyor in 1986, Keith joined Buxworth in 1983 and became a Director aged 30 in 1988.  From there, he moved to Vinci PLC in 1998 and became a Regional Marketing Director in 2002.  He returned to Buxworth in 2010 as MD and led a company buy out in 2014.  In 2015, Keith founded Buxworth Homes, as a subsidiary of Buxton Building Contractors, of which Keith was MD and Proprietor.  During the summer of 2019, Keith sold his shares in Buxworth Building Contractors and assumed full ownership of Buxworth Homes.  Keith’s principle responsibilities include arranging finance, strategic business planning, maintaining key stakeholder partnerships and overseeing construction management and cost control.

Keith is passionate about jazz and is a keen amateur pianist (although some would say in the Les Dawson style!).

 

 

Adam Howell
Land and Development Director

Adam has a proven track record in the new homes industry having begun his career fifteen years ago as a graduate at Crest Nicholson before working with high quality developer Langham Homes within London, Surrey and Berkshire.   He joined Buxworth Homes from the outset in 2015, working closely with managing director and founder Keith Pagan and progressed quickly to a Director.  His expertise sees him heavily involved with the acquisition of land, preparing legal contracts, managing the planning process and then progressing new projects through marketing and sales.  He particularly enjoys the marketing aspect of the business which benefits from his keen eye for detail.

Adam enjoys travelling, has a love of motorsports and is preparing to motorcycle his way across America.

 

 

 

Mark Freeland
Finance Director

Mark left Buxton Building Contractors in November 2019 having been involved with the group and its associated companies for over 13 years.  He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales.  Mark led three group demergers, two MBOs and instigated many new initiatives.  He is well connected with established relationships in the field of residential development with various banks and funders. Mark is responsible for both the financial management of Buxworth Homes, as well as strategically advising on its direction and financing relationships.

He has completed over twenty triathlons and has been a Scout Leader for over ten years – dib dib dib!

 

 

 

Matthew Curd
Land Manager

Matthew joined Buxworth Homes in 2019 and has been utilising over 20 years’ experience in estate agency experience in South London and Kent to continue on building strong relationships with landowners, Local Authorities and existing relationships in various geographical locations.  Matthew’s role at Buxworth Homes is to source and acquire land opportunities for prime development and to meet and exceed his clients’ expectations.  He has a key understanding of the planning and appeals processes.

Matthew is a keen collector of American Comic Book memorabilia and modern art.  He has a rescue Chiweenie (a cross between the Chihuahua and Dachshund) named Barkley who keeps him on his toes and snores extremely loudly for such a small dog.

 

 

 

Drew McClymont
Site Manager

Previous to joining Buxworth Homes two years ago, Drew ran his own successful company for 18 years where he utilised his extensive experience as both a Mechanical Engineer and later as a Methods Planning Schedule Engineer.  Drew enjoys every aspect of his role on-site dealing with the day-to-day issues that arise to explaining the minutiae as to how each new home ‘works’ to purchasers.

Drew is a usful guy to have around as he is a fully qualified First Aider.  He is also an avid participant in several martial arts (even more useful to have around). Drew also enjoys cycling but admits he spends most of his time ferrying his kids and dog Jack around.

 

 

 

Mandy Tyrrell
Office Manager and Directors’ Assistant

Mandy joined Buxworth Homes in 2019 and has over 15 years’ experience as a PA and Sales & Marketing Coordinator.  Previous to joining Buxworth, Mandy worked for 8 years for another property developer and gained valuable experience within the production, commercial, customer care and land departments in addition to being heavily involved in on-going marketing projects.

As a new mother, Mandy’s hobbies have rather been put on hold as a result, but she is keen to get back into pilates, swimming and salsa dancing as soon as possible.  In an attempt to inspire her little girl, Mandy has re-ignited her love of playing the piano which she used to do when she was younger and is having fun playing all over again.

 

 

 

 

Nick Poole
Commercial Manager

An experienced surveyor and manager of building projects, Nick has 30 years of experience within the construction industry and is well placed to deliver projects on time and within budget.  Nick worked previously with regional contractors on a wide range of projects including high-residential refurbishment, schools, restaurants, officer refurbishments and fit-outs, sports and fitness facilities. He joined Buxworth Homes in 2018 and is responsible for all stages of the project from cost plan preparation, estimating, contract negotiation through to the completion and account settlement of live projects.

Nick has completed the gruelling 125-mile Devizes to Westminster Canoe Race twice alongside travelling numerous rivers around the world at a more leisurely pace.  As if that wasn’t enough, Nick has recently taken up a new hobby of stand-up paddle boarding (although he admits with limited success to date).

 

 

Lisa Freeland
Financial Controller

Lisa is combining studying for her AAT accounts qualifications at college with overseeing the day-to-day accounts processes and procedures at Buxworth Homes.

In her spare time, Lisa keeps herself extremely busy as she is mum to four children so lists her other occupations as taxi driver, chef, housekeeper, peacekeeper, personal shopper, events organiser, swimming and snowboarder instructor and football supporter!  She is fortunate enough to own her own horse Louis, who she has had since he was five months old and participants regularly in show jumping clinics and competitions – how does she have the time?!

 

 

 

 

Jack
Stress Controller, Site Security and all-round bundle of fun

Jack is a two-year-old collie cross poodle whose mum is a working collie on a busy farm and dad is a very large white standard poodle.  Jack likes to spend his days supervising his human Drew on-site whose family he has lived with since he was 16 weeks old and he has built a reputation for being the first point of call to all visitors to site especially the mobile food wagon.  Preferring human company to other canines, Jack’s best friend is Drew’s daughter Milly.  He did attend puppy classes but was more of a disruption than a willing and obedient pupil and sadly, didn’t graduate. However Jack likes to think that he’s earned his Health and Safety on site diploma from the University of Life!
